Dr. Howard specializes in the treatment of acute and chronic pain disorders. He is a graduate of the University of Chicago Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care. He is board certified in Anesthesiology, Pain Management, and Interventional Pain Management. Dr. Howard is a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and is the only physician in the Peoria area board certified in Interventional Pain Management. Since founding Advanced Pain Management of Illinois in 2002 he has been dedicated exclusively to Interventional Pain Management.

Justin Ahlman
MD, MS, DABPM

Justin Ahlman MD, MS, DABPM is a board certified Anesthesiologist and a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and International Spine Intervention Society. Dr. Ahlman completed his core anesthesia training in Boston Mass at ST. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Lahey Medical Center, and Harvard Children’s. As Dr. Howard’s partner at Advanced Pain Management of Illinois, Dr. Ahlman provides diagnostic neurosensory testing for lower limb disorders, procedural anesthesia, and Pain Management.
